Students climb new heights

Community succeeds in building playground.

Work on the new $150,000 adventure playground has been completed at Peregian Springs State School, and students have been busy trying it out.

The 6m high twin mast structure has been made possible due to the fundraising efforts of Jodie Curran from Agent 4573 and the Peregian Springs State School P&C Association, who have both made large contributions towards the overall cost.

Daughter of P&C treasurer Alan Westlake, Amelia described the new equipment as “awesome”. “I can see all the way to my classroom from the top,” she said.

School Principal Gwen Sands was pleased to see the realisation of a dream.

“We have long wanted to build something like this for our students, and with the efforts of our P&C and Agent 4573, we have been able to provide a wonderful asset to our school which kids will love for many play times to come,” she said.
