Boys’ impressive kick-start

By JODIE BUSHBY

U7 White: The boys kick-started their holidays with an impressive game of footy against Maroochydore at home. A sensational Player of the Match performance today by Zahn Bruggy. Zahn’s ball security is so tight that it could almost explode in his clutches.
U7 Yellow: Outstanding plays from Riley O’Neill, Kyroan O’Donnell and Angus Cook. Superstar Tyran Malone played his best game all season, earning him Player of the Match.
U7 Blue: Taj Brumley was a standout, stopping several attacking raids and making a heap of try saving tackles. Watch out under 7 Sunshine Coast sides because Hayden Andersen is back to his best, producing two bone-crunching tackles and making great metres straight up the middle. Jaxon Smith stepped up again today and must have made about 100 tackles but it was his devastating running that really caused shaking in the boots of the Maroochydore players.
U8: One try saw the boys producing some excellent passes started by Roy Crozier onto Joh Dwyer finally onto Joshy Palmer to score a magnificent try. Some great running by Cody Reid, Cohyn North, Dylan Alchin, Hamish Cook and Taj Egea. Great defence by Liam Dunkinson, Benny Graf, Lachlan Neville.
U9 Blue: Tammin Lange took the ball up hard and needed an icepack for all her hard work! Kye Brumley was committed in defence and Nathaniel Noe chased anything that moved! The team’s passing was greatly improved this week, with players looking to offload and with some great backing up by Ryan Fielding-Smith, he managed to get over for a try. Sam Pershouse did some great passing from dummy half and really involved himself in the game this week, earning himself Player of the Match!
U9 White: This week the boys played at home against Maroochydore. What a great game of rugby league! A big thanks to the boys from Noosa Blue who helped us out with a couple of extra players.
U10 White: The boys played at home this week against Maroochydore on what fast turned into a miserable afternoon. Jackson and Jesi out injured and Corben on holidays, saw Cooper play a great game at full back with Antonio, Jarred and Larz tackling hard and running fast. Larz was this week’s Player of the Match.
U10 Blue: Maroochydore travelled to Noosa this week to play Under 10 Blue. It was a great game.
U10 Yellow: It was an awesome performance by the U10 Yellow Pirates who played Maroochydore. Massive effort by the boys with a big mention to Player of the Match Kynan Allen who worked tirelessly all game.
U11 Blue: The team had an outstanding game and chalked up another win proving that their hard training is paying off and they are reaping the rewards on the field for it.
U12: Second half had both teams making lots of heavy tackles, making offence very tough. Noosa thought they had a third try with Steely Jai running onto a lovely kick before it was disallowed. Well done on a great game overall.
U14B: Today we watched 11 brave boys play their guts out against the best team in the competition with a full list of 17 players. Special mention to our Men of the Match, under 13C players Liam O’Hanlon and Chase Mackesney. Both the boys were outstanding and showed what club spirit is all about by stepping up a grade and helping us out. To turn up today and still put in 110 per cent knowing that it was going to be very hard shows the character that you have.
U15: The Noosa fighting spirit shone through in what was a tough game. A 14-all scoreboard was a fitting end to the game as both sides fought hard. Well done, champions.
