Noosa Eagles better their lot

By PETA HOLMES

U8: Another fantastic game on Saturday in Caloundra for the Noosa Eagles Under 8s. Everyone played like champions with Kelsey Loader defending like a demon and taking out player of the match.
Jamie and Josh playing brilliant keepers, Darcy scored a penalty shot with the final score of 3-1 to Caloundra Green.
Josh took home the Encouragement Award and Kelsey was again awarded the Player of the Team by the opposition.
Go Under 8s, you just keep getting better every week, even with no subs and rain in the second half.
U7 Gold: It was an exciting game for the U7 Gold team at Siena College playing the sharks. Playing a strong first half, they ran out of puff in the second half and went down 9-0.
U7 Black: The U7 Black team took on Caloundra Blue this week. It was a very evenly matched game, but in the end Noosa Black was defeated 2-1 with Alaska Rosenkranz kicking the side’s only goal. Kieran Dow used his constantly improving skills and strong kicking to make it difficult for the opposition’s forwards to score while Jake MacDonald also had an impressive game showing plenty of determination.
U11 Gold: Gold U11s game against Palmwoods resulted in a 5-3 victory with Ethan Mitchell scoring a goal from a midfield kick. It was a fantastic result. Coaches award went to a well-deserved Sarah White with highly commended to Jett McQueen and Taj Scoble again well deserved.
U12 Gold: U12 Noosa Gold had an exciting game against Stella Geckos on Saturday, showing some great play and skills to finish with a three-all draw. Defenders Aiden Hawke, Lucas Evans and Jack Pearce played hard and put in a huge effort. Goals were scored in spectacular style by Josh Francis, Flynn Sperlich and Luke Poulton in particular, who had spectators out of their seats as he out manoeuvred Stella’s keeper. Player of the Match went to Josh Francis, who also had a great game in mid field.
