Done in such good taste

WITH nearly a thousand weddings, events and functions behind her – and 15 years in the business – Mia Daskalu’s catering company Spoon Fed is renowned for setting the benchmark in excellence for mobile catering on the Sunshine Coast.
From humble beginnings in 2001, word travelled fast and things started to get busy so in 2008 Mia teamed up with Paul Johnson creating Bottle Fed to share some of the workload and to further extend Spoon Fed’s excellence in logistics and service.
There is some Italian passion, but there is also a high level of professionalism that Mia and Paul bring to the dining table. Over 40 years of industry experience means they know exactly what is required to make any event a memorable success, and this is exactly why people keep coming back for seconds.
“There is no secret; it’s just caring more, attention to detail and hard work,” Mia said.
It is important that your food is prepared with the love of mama, but for Spoon Fed, it’s also about the guest’s whole experience – no-one is left out, everyone feels special, everyone has a good time.
Mia said the Spoon Fed team worked hard to make every event look smooth and effortless, and was proud to celebrate such a milestone.
“Fifteen years is a big deal for us. We’re so proud of what we have done and continue to do as a company. It’s a real buzz when you have made someone’s clients feel completely special at a corporate function, or realise that you’ve helped make someone’s wedding the best day of their life,” Mia said.
To celebrate, Spoon Fed is offering a 15 per cent discount on all parties booked in January 2017.
