THIS week’s results are as follows.
Tuesday jackpot pairs: Winners were Garry Mitchell and Col Nalder +11. Runners-up were John Langdale and Brian Cunnington +2
Wednesday business bowlers: Full-greens fun was had by all on Wednesday with all vying for top spot and only two weeks to go.
Thursday triples: We had our first night on Thursday with six new bowlers joining us and much laughter was heard on the green.
Bushrangers d XFactor 4; Eumundi Boys d Rough and Ready 10; Stonewalls closely won against Bee Stings 12-11; Royal Flush d High Rollers 13-8; Nightowls d Galahs 16-11; Honeypots d Cormorants 20-7. We have space for four more teams, so if you want to join this fun group from 4pm-6pm then dinner afterwards, please call Lynne 0405 131 746 or David 0414 833 509.
For anyone interested in coming along to try out barefoot bowls or get some coaching, Nancy will be waiting to help you out with the finer art of bowling on the green Friday afternoons after 2.30pm.
Ladies pairs: This week we were disrupted by the birth of a long awaited grandchild, so the final will be played at a later date. Congratulations Nanna Eileen.
Men’s pairs: Two very exciting closed fought semi-finals were held Sunday and the winners have come away with a sigh of relief.
Bevan Mahoney/Russell Butler d Jack Kirkman/David Hateley-James 16/14, Eric Kenzler/Ben French d Doug Alisone/Jim Donald 17/14.
The final will be played next Sunday 6 June, at 10 am.
I would like to wish our sickies, Rosslyn, Jenelle and Glen, the very best for a quick recovery, you are missed on the green. Sending my warmest regards to anyone else not feeling too well.

Tewantin Noosa Bowls
A BIG thank you goes out to the ladies in the district for supporting our Laguna Estate and Ray White two-day fiesta. A total of 20 teams participated and some good bowls were seen across the greens.
The winners of Gold were C. Russell, M. Vincenzino, J. Blundell and J. Sauer. The runners-up were S. Everett, J. Burgess, K. Wilson and P. Styles.
The winners of Silver were C. Cartwright, G. Shaw, L. Hardingham and J. Walker. The runners-up were E. Coghlan, Nat McAullly, J. Lonie and M. Ross.
Saturday open pairs: Winners were Bert de Koster and Steve Chandler. Runners-up were Trevor Crosby and Greg Halloway.
Wednesday’s men’s pairs: Winners were Sno Jocelyn and Jim McDonald (2 games). The runners-up were B. Thorne and Ken Johansen (1 game).
The jackpot was not won and carries over.
Thursday open pairs: Winners were Jenny Bowie and Lorry Axiac. Runners-up were Kerry Roberts and Ralphe Rickman. The jackpot was not won.
Friendly’ Friday triples: Winners were Rick Dickson, Claire McGrath and Gary Moss. The runners-up were Gwen Steel, Dossie Buckley, Nev Gray and Alan Laird. The $43 jackpot was not won and carries over.
Pennant season is just eight weeks away and we require more names. Coaching with Rick Dickson commences Monday 8 June.
