Raise your voices – together

COOLUM’S community choir Cool Harmonies is inviting you to join them for their Vocal Nosh and Bash.
The choir is hosting an informal, relaxed night of community singing to raise funds for the Music and Memory program at local nursing homes.
This program helps individuals living with chronic cognitive and physical impairments to reconnect with family, friends and caregivers.
Musical Director Yvonne Corstorphin said Cool Harmonies had been entertaining audiences for the past nine years and love sharing their sense of fun and spreading the joy of singing with members of the community.
“Singing is so uplifting and heart-warming – it connects us with each other, strengthens us as individuals, and creates smiles, fun, happiness and laughter,” she said.
“At our Vocal Nosh and Bash night you’ll not only get the opportunity to sing along with the choir, you’ll learn a few harmonies of your own too. And if you feel like having a ‘rockstar’ moment, you can jump on stage and belt out a few well-known karaoke numbers with everyone as well.”
Dynamic drumming maestro Aaron Walker will be teaching some groovy rhythms on the African drum, and special guest choir “I’m Still Standing” will have the audience singing along to some much-loved favourites.
So grab your friends and head along for a fun night out with a light supper provided along with raffles and lucky door prizes.
The event will be held at the Coolum Civic Centre, Park Street, Coolum, on Saturday 25 June from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Admission is $15. To book tickets go to www.trybooking.com/LAGH or contact Yvonne on 0403 013 555 for more information.
