Noosa chef swaps seas for food

Noosa’s celebrity chef Peter Kuruvita will travel across the continent to the Western Australia coast in the

return of Peter Kuruvita’s Coastal Kitchen to shine a light on the Margaret River region.

Over the course of his new six-part series to begin on SBS on 21 June at 8pm the Noosa Beach House chef meets with traditional owners to hear their stories; artisanal producers to learn their craft; passionate farmers who are transforming the future of agricultural and aquacultural practice; and award-winning wine makers who have defined the region.

Peter will be rolling up his sleeves to discover how to make camembert, learn the secret to producing black garlic, and pulling on the scuba gear to go diving for abalone.

He will also be cooking up a variety of heart-warming dishes incorporating his Euro-Sri Lankan

culinary ethos with his new Margaret River discoveries.

Peter brought his signature style and seafood focus to Hastings Street in May 2013 in a partnership between Noosa Beach House and Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort.
