Beat that Padre brew

THE Padre Coffee Company is the epitome of coffee culture where the humble coffee bean is worshiped and caffeine taken seriously.
Padre Coffee was born in Melbourne in 2008 by two friends who roasted, brewed and sold specialty coffee under the one roof. Since then, the all-encompassing coffee company has expanded and set up shop in Noosa.
Inside the stylish warehouse in Noosaville, you’ll find an impressive showroom where Marinus Jansen, co-founder of Padre Coffee, personally roasts specialty blends through a 1923 antique roaster and offers training opportunities to budding baristas.
Whether you own a cafe or just love to wake up to great coffee at home, Padre Coffee has everything you need for the perfect cup including seasonal coffee blends, grinders, cleaning equipment and expert advice.
Lovers of coffee are spoilt for choice as they ponder over the extensive list of seasonal coffee blends such as the bright and sweet Hey Buddy Filter Blend or the dark and delicious Kenya Kiaguthu which can be enjoyed onsite or as a take away.
Padre Coffee not only strive to make the best blend possible, they also endeavour to make your shopping experience as hassle free as possible.
Customers can sign up to a no fuss subscription service which guarantees freshly roasted coffee delivered right to your door, right when you want it.
Each fortnight, Padre’s head roaster will select the subscription coffees from the best beans available, roast them fresh and send them straight to your door. You can sign up at www.padrecoffee.com.au.
So what makes Padre Coffee stand out from the rest? According to Marinus, it’s as simple as hard work.
“Because we love our coffee so much, we can be very particular about the way it is produced, prepared and presented,” he said.
“We roast our coffee in small, loving batches; juggling time, temperature and air-flow to create a fulfilling flavour profile for each bean.
“You can’t reproduce what we do just by knowing what we do; it takes a lot of hard work and a lot of passion.”
The Padre team put endless time and energy into the curation of diverse and ever-changing premium single origin and blended coffee beans, which are sourced from traders and farmers all around the world who share a passion for quality as well as ethical and sustainable production.
“We believe in quality produce, sustainability, and in having strong relationships with the people we work with, which is why we take the time to make sure that even the tea, milk and chocolate that we use are premium local products made by thoughtful and engaged individuals,” Marinus said.
