Good taste is popping up

TOURISM Noosa’s winter marketing campaign You Could Be Here has just wrapped up in Melbourne, but not without tempting southern visitors with the tastes of Noosa.
Noosa celebrity chefs, David Rayner from Thomas Corner Eatery and Shane Bailey from Noosa Boathouse visited the Noosa Pop-Up Beach House in Federation Square, conducting cooking demonstrations using Noosa’s famous local produce.
CEO of Tourism Noosa Damien Massingham said Noosa was well-known for its quality produce and great restaurants.
And having two of our well-known chefs in Melbourne was a great way to engage with Melburnians, reminding them of Noosa’s foodie scene.
“Chef Shane Bailey created two of his famous Noosa dishes, a Noosa tomato soup with Noosa spanner crab and a Mooloolaba Prawn Salad while Chef David Rayner created his warm seafood salad using local Noosa produce,” Mr Massingham said.
The You Could Be Here campaign included a week-long activation of a Noosa Pop-Up Beach House full of Noosa inspiration as well as a stunning Noosa winter image prominently displayed on the digital screen above Young and Jacksons Hotel opposite Federation Square.
Tourism Noosa’s signature Noosa Melbourne tram was also rolling through the streets and will continue to spread the word until early spring in key areas in and around Federation Square including Toorak, South Yarra, St Kilda and along Swanston Street.
