Thyroid gland’s the spark plug

DID you know your thyroid gland plays has an integral effect on each and every cell in your body?
Noosa naturopath Deb Roberson said the small gland in your throat made a big difference to your health and energy.
“Our thyroid gland is like the sparkplug in our car- it may be a small part but if it’s not working properly, it affects the whole of your car’s ability to run smoothly (or even start). The thyroid gland and hormones are responsible for the spark of energy in every cell,” Deb said.
“Most people think of low thyroid as just causing weight gain, however sub-optimal thyroid function affects every body system including digestion, hormone balance including adrenal/stress hormones, mental and cognitive function leading to poor memory, concentration and focus and your immune system.”
Deb said some of the symptoms of low thyroid function include skin feeling dry, sluggish digestive system and feeling moody, plus more.
To find out more about your thyroid gland and how it may be affecting your health, phone Deb on 5447 6380 to book an appointment or drop into Deb’s clinic on level 1, 5 Gibson Road, Noosaville.
