Peppered with passion

By Hollie Harris

The new BYO Italian restaurant on Memorial Drive in Eumundi is an Italian experience like no other.
If your flavour is tomato, cheese, basil and all things Italian, then you need to try Il Mio Posto restaurant.
The exciting new venture for husband and wife Renee and Bryce Kilo offers alfresco dining under the stars from Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Renee grew up in Eumundi with her family so it was a natural progression for her to try a new venture with chef husband Bryce.
“Bryce has a great passion for Italian food,” said Renee.
And it shows, with every morsel of food coming out of the kitchen. The restaurant has been receiving incredible feedback on Facebook with diners touting Il Mio Posto as “The food there was without doubt the best Italian food I have had” and “The most beautiful authentic Italian food and atmosphere. Friendly and efficient service made our experience perfect. The new place on the coast to go”.
With choices like baked prosciutto wrapped buffalo mozzarella and vinnocotto and The Paddock Wood-fired Pizza with mushroom, fontina, pecorino and truffle oil, you will find it hard to choose. Isn’t that what we want from a menu?
Tip: Try the Sfinci! Italian-style little doughnuts, saffron and orange syrup, vanilla whipped ricotta – YUM!
Get in and grab a school holiday Italian feast to take home or dine in and dial up the romance with a table under the stars. Call 5442 7026 for take-away or bookings.
