Coaching sessions are the Real deal

MORE than 190 talented boys and girls kicked more than goals at a free football coaching clinic held in Noosa by the world famous football club Real Madrid last week.
One hundred and fifty kids between the ages of six and 16 were put through their paces by Spanish coaches from the club over four days plus a further 40 children from two Queensland charities tried their hand … err, foot, at soccer on Friday 8 April as part of The Kick Project and Welcome to Australia project.
The Kick Project Founder James Rose said the sessions were a great opportunity for children who don’t get many ‘free kicks’ in life.
“These kids have seen plenty of strife and been challenged in ways many of us couldn’t imagine,” he said.
“The coaching clinics were a chance for them to shine and perhaps to make progress on the path to personal development and self-confidence as young adults, through playing sport.”
The Foundation Real Madrid Clinics kicked off on Monday 4 April at the Noosa Lions Football Club and gave kids and coaches from all over Queensland an opportunity of a life time to train with some of the world’s best coaches.
Real Madrid is the most valuable club in Europe ahead of Manchester United, Barcelona and Manchester City, with a worth of euro 2.858 billion (A$4.28 billion) and boast the world’s best players such as Christiano Ronaldo, James Rodgriguez, Benzema and Gareth Bale.
