STRANGE Brew are just what their name suggests – they are unlike anything you have ever heard. Cooked up over years, they love what they do and constantly evolve in response to the experiences they gain along the way.
The one poignant feature that shines brightest when looking at Strange Brew is the fun each of these artists has on stage.
Their joy is infectious and this is what has led them to return repeatedly to venues. Their skyrocketing success is just more evidence of their amazing talent and contagious joy.
Strange Brew’s sound is a mix of rock, blues and a special secret ingredient unique to them. Some influences on Strange Brew are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Credence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison, Billy Thorpe, Paul Kelly, Tom Petty and The Rolling Stones.
Kellsy, Stew, Gino and Laurie all share the opinion that their love of music is what gives them that undefined quality, that ability to have the audience up on their seats and cheering. Whatever this special spice is, they have decided to share a generous portion with every audience they perform for.
If you want a taste of Strange Brew, they are performing at the Tewantin Noosa RSL on Friday 15 April, at 8pm. Tickets are just $10 for non-members and free for members. Tickets can be purchased at reception or by dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
