Hooked on the classics

MORE than 280 beautiful classic cars took over Noosa Heads Lions Park on Sunday (4 October) as part of the Noosa Beach Classic Car Club’s annual car show.
Cars on show included Jaguars, a 1937 Rolls Royce and a multi-award winning Falcon two-door.
Noosa Beach Classic Car Club’s Noel St John-Wood said the show was a huge success.
“Spectator entry was up by 1000 from previous years to 3300 and car entry was up by 60,” he said.
“This will be a great benefit to local charities as the takings from the gate have increased substantially.”
Mr St John-Wood said the show was one of the most prestigious and interesting in the country and when teamed with the location, Sunday’s weather and holiday-makers, the show was definitely a winner.
Rotary was on hand to cater with food, which was sold out by the large crowd.
