NOOSA District State High School Year 12 students created a class mural on Wednesday 14 September, highlighting an important topic that they all feel very strongly about: marriage equality.
The students spent this term exploring how art can be used as a facilitator for activism and as a means for peacefully protesting or bringing attention to the plight of those in the community who often go unheard, ignored or unnoticed.
The activity brought to the forefront the topic of gay marriage.
The students said they hoped this was an issue that the Australian Government acted upon soon.
