A step up on your average ‘who-dunnit’

A THRILLER spoof is coming to Noosa Arts Theatre with Broadway’s multi-award winning and longest running comedy The 39 Steps about to wreak havoc on 9 September.
Mix an Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece with a spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps.
A fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre, this comedy is directed by Jane Rivers and is adapted from the 1915 novel by John Buchan and the 1935 film by Alfred Hitchcock.
The story of The 39 Steps follows handsome hero Richard Hannay, a bored London gentleman whose life suddenly becomes infinitely more interesting when a woman is murdered in his apartment.
Who is she? Why did she take refuge with him? And what are the mysterious 39 Steps?
Framed for her murder, Hannay flees London for Scotland on a mission to find out the answers to these and other questions.
The five actors, Howard Tampling, Rachel Fentiman, Simon Denver, Joy Marshall and Harry Bayliss perform a multitude of roles including heroes, villains, men, women, children, milkmen, salesmen and policemen.
The show is a fast-paced, giddy display of theatrical invention and is set to have you in stitches.
Join Noosa Arts Theatre to experience an evening of dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents and devastatingly beautiful women.
