Holiday makers spoilt for choice

By Hollie Harris

HOLIDAY makers can now easily add a massage or spa treatment to their trip in just minutes with the launch of an online booking service for Noosa wellbeing therapies.
Founder Amanda Obara saw a niche in the market as so many industries were making the leap online booking services which help to locate the best tours, flights and hotels.
“We have Webjet to help us compare flights across airlines, Wotif to help us find accommodation, however there was not one site to help us quickly find and book quality wellbeing practitioners.
“This site is another step toward the online booking movement,” Amanda said.
After a previous bad experience with a massage booking several years ago, Amanda decided it was time to create a business that ensured the very best services where easy to locate and book with the highest recommendations.
“I’ve genuinely tried to come up with a model where everybody wins; customers, therapists, and industry,” Amanda said.
This is the first service of its kind in the country and the site will allow visitors to access booking availability in real time, for massage therapists who have been rated by real customers.
Designed to promote the local wellbeing industry, massage therapists and others in the industry, great therapists are rewarded with ratings by real customers.
Located in Noosa, Amanda said she aimed to provide clients in Noosa with a user friendly service that met their busy schedules and helped them to source quality therapists.
“Each client completes a survey after they have used our service and so far, every single one has given their therapist five stars.
“The very best therapists may not necessarily have great marketing skills or advertise to their advantage, so that’s where we come in to connect them with new clients,” Amanda said.
Users can jump onto www.massageandwellbeing.com and browse through the reviews left by customers and book their preferred therapist.
The experiences of the therapists, combined with Obara’s experience and expertise, make for a combination sure to win over local businesses, tourists and local spa goers alike.
Amanda holds extensive qualifications in natural therapies, communications, business and management which combined with her role as a massage therapist in Noosa for over five years and her 15 years’ experience in marketing she really has her finger on the pulse.
“We welcome new hotel partners, and anyone interested can phone to find out more ways to be involved,” she said.
