So good, they’re Contraband

CONTRABAND will be found at the Tewantin Noosa RSL this weekend, as the four-piece band takes to the stage for an electric set.
It’s said Contraband are so good they should be illegal – but if you were lucky enough to catch their performance at the Tewantin RSL Christmas Carols in December, you would know why they are one of the most popular cover bands on the Coast.
The key to their success may just lie in the ultimate mix of songs with hits from Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac, Meghan Trainor, as well as Guns and Roses, Tina Turner, Alanis Morrisette and don’t forget great Aussie classics from Divinyls, Choirboys, Cold Chisel and AC/DC.
Contraband is insatiable in their pursuit of a great time and they take no prisoners. Not a single genre is left untouched at the end of the night as audiences ride wave after wave of guaranteed good times.
Rocker Heidi Williams takes the lead on vocals with the electric Michael Barry on lead/rhythm guitar, Pete Huntley on bass and Mark O’Bryen on drums creating just the right sound to keep you dancing all night.
Contraband kick off their high-energy show at the Tewantin Noosa RSL on Friday 29 January in the Diggers Bar from 8pm. Tickets are just $10 for non-members and free for members and available from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
