Taking aim at the sex trade

By Hollie Harris

BE Hers is a movement of thousands of passionate, every day women – all determined to raise awareness for the freedom of men, women and children.
Be Her Freedom is an event run by the organisation, Be Hers that aims to raise awareness and funds for those trapped in sexual slavery.
The movement has partnered with The A21 Campaign to see freedom, hope and justice restored to these victims.
This event is aimed at women and empowers the everyday woman to use what is in her hand to make a difference for others.
Through partnerships, collaborations, donations and events, Be Hers stands together to fight for freedom, and place value and dignity upon women and children.
The catering will be provided by Spoon Fed Catering, which is celebrating 15 years of catering in Noosa and the Sunshine coast.
Spoon Fed will be serving up a delicious variety of canapes, small dishes and keeping those glasses topped up with bubbles.
Enjoy an incredible afternoon with friends for a very important cause, the fight against sex slavery and human trafficking.
Indulge in delicious canapes and small dishes, sip on bubbles and browse a silent auction and merchandise with all donations going to the cause.
With guest speakers, live entertainment, including Ellen Reed from the Voice and artistic performances, event-goers are sure to not only have an amazing day with friends, but leave inspired to make a difference.
It is on 3 September from 2pm to 6pm at Amaroo Noosa, 89 Dahlia Road, Verrierdale.
Tickets are available at www.behers.org.au and are $95. Bus services will also be available for pick up and drop off from Noosa and Mooloolaba.
Last minute tickets will be available at the door.
