Late splash of sun as winter chill moves in

NOOSA locals and visitors shivered through a chilly weekend but it didn’t stop people from getting out and making the most of the sunny days.
Saturday reached a high of just 18 degrees – and while icy winds threatened to force everyone indoors, Noosa shone bright with the local beaches, Noosa River and Noosa Junction still busy with locals and visitors.
Noosa Main Beach was quieter than usual but the Noosa National Park walking trails were still busy and a few brave souls took to the ocean for a revitalising swim in the morning.
On Sunday, it was a top of 18 degrees again but the sun was shining and tourists and locals were making the most of the clear skies dining on Hastings Street and shopping in Noosa Junction.
Local sporting matches enjoyed the cool change and dry fields led to a victorious weekend for many local teams.
Winter has definitely arrived with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a chilly week ahead with the week’s top temperature of 22 degrees expected for Thursday. It will be a cold start to the mornings with temps ranging between 8 and 10 degrees followed by highs between 18 and 20 degrees.
