Float your cares away

FLOAT Noosa is Noosa’s premier float studio.
Founded by Dennis and Amanda Erlank, their vision was to create a haven of people to relax, recharge and most importantly heal.
The highlight is watching people leave with that magical post-float glow which lasts for a couple of days.
On arrival you are welcomed into a calming waiting area with a hint of essential oils in the air and soft music playing. To prepare for your float you are given a brief video to watch before being shown into your private floating room.
Here you will find a beautiful bathroom, with a spacious walk-in shower, luxurious white towels, organic shower products and of course a beautiful looking float pod. The DreamPod looks like an inviting, futuristic space capsule, with glowing lights that gently change colour from pink to purple to blue to green.
Before entering the pod, you take a shower to remove oils and products from your skin and hair. Then soothing music gently starts playing, signalling that the pod is ready for you to enter.
You step in and immerse yourself in the 35-degree supersaturated solution of magnesium sulphate which suspends you effortlessly in a zero gravity, light and sound controlled environment.
You can choose to have the lights off and the pod lid closed allowing complete sensory deprivation. With limited sensory input and free from gravity, every part of your body is free to totally relax, reset and recharge. It’s better than the ultimate bath … there is simply no other technology or environment that can stimulate these amazing effects.
At the end of the session, the soft music fades in to let you know that your session is over. Reluctantly you get out and after another shower enter the post-float lounge, where organic herbal teas await you. Then all that is left to do is to relax, take it all in and then ease back into your day with a renewed sense of calm.
The studio is located in 37 Gibson road, Noosaville, nestled between the nursery and the garden cafe in the tranquil Acres Noosa centre.
