Backbeats to jog the memory

TIME for a little bit of time travel without a Delorean or even a Tardis as Retrospect take you on a musical journey back to the ’60s through to the ’90s at Tewantin Noosa RSL on Friday.
The aptly named Retrospect present a collection of songs celebrating artists including Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin, Credence, Zeppelin and a host of classics that will bring back your mojo and keep you rocking through the night.
The band features the talents of singer, performer and entertainer Janice Smithers with Grant Byrne from Late for Woodstock on bass and vocals, Michael Barry from Ultraviolet on guitar and vocals, and Mark O’Bryen from Contraband and Smokin’ Mirrors on drums.
Together they aim to take their audience on a trip back to the retro days when music was real, you hung out at the record store to get the latest release and when love was free and cares were few.
Catch Retrospect at the Tewantin Noosa RSL in the Diggers Bar from 8pm on Friday. Tickets are free for members and $10 for non-members and are available from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
Who: Retrospect.
Where: Diggers Bar, Tewantin Noosa RSL.
When: Friday 13 February, 8pm.
Interested?: Tickets from reception or dial’n’charge on 5447 1766.
