Health in the balance

IT’S easy to discover the delights of preparing a balanced meal thanks to a healthy cooking demonstration at Yukti Botanicals.
The class is perfect for anyone who would like to know how to design a balanced meal that is healthy and nutritious while also discovering one of the most effective food preparations for boosting health, vitality, digestive function and metabolism.
Join well-known Noosa Ayurvedic practitioner and naturopath Wayne Celeban B.Hlth.Sc. (Nat.) Dip. (Ayur. Med.) N.Z, from Yukti Botanicals, during a cooking demonstration where you will learn how to make Khichari.
Khichari is a complete protein-carbohydrate meal accompanied with freshly chopped herbs, steamed vegetables and sour condiments that is nutritious and easily digested.
Kichari (Kitch-er-ee) is simply rice and lentils cooked so thoroughly together that they make a creamy stew infused with delicious aromatic spices. This makes a perfect soup for an evening supper, a light meal while fasting, a nourishing food if digestion is weak or if recovering from an illness.
Enjoy this great cooking demonstration and learn how to design a great balanced meal.
The healthy cooking class will be held on Saturday 24 October, from 1pm-3pm, at Yukti Botanicals, in Belmondos Organic Market, Rene Street, Noosaville.
The class is $20 per person and bookings are essential so phone 5447 1122 to secure your spot.
