Ribs and wine a fine time

By Hollie Harris

There’s no need to hide away at home now winter has arrived.
Wood Fire Grill is looking forward to warming up bodies and souls by the fireplace with meaty share plates and live jazz!
Think succulent lamb shoulder, pork rack with crackle and delicious 1kg prime rib, paired with your favourite glass of red wine and the sounds of soulful jazz by the David Bentley Duo.
Headed by well-known musician and jazz pianist David Bentley, the talented duo is performing live from 6pm every Wednesday night.
Having performed in jazz clubs and music festivals for many years, including a residency in the cellar bar of Philip Johnson’s multi-award winning e’cco Restaurant, David’s song writing skills are also experiencing a high, thanks to rapper Rocky A$ap’s chart-topping re-mix of his composition, In A Broken Dream featuring Rod Stewart on vocals.
Can’t make it on Wednesday nights? Don’t worry, from 5pm on Thursdays you can also take advantage of the ultimate meat lovers winter special with Thursday Rib Nights, featuring a half-rack of ribs and two delicious sides for $35 per person, as well as red wine specials by the glass.
